It is currently beyond the scope of this document to define standard theatre/entertainment lighting terms.

Many websites as well as the manual for modern lighting console can provide definitions.  While some writers, consoles, and companies may use terminology slightly differently, we have strived to use standard lighting terms in a fashion that should be understandable to anyone familiar with most modern lighting control.

An XLCue user should understand at least:
