Setup:

In the ETC's Express Off-Line Editor, access the dialog box shown below through the "Convert->ASCII Options..." menu option.

The settings shown are recommended.  These setting maximize human readability of a USITT ASCII file exported by the Express Off-Line Editor.

The only required setting is "Level Presentation" must be set to "Percent".  XLCue does not currently read or write hexadecimal DMX levels.

Note that selecting "Include Expression specific data when writing files" will turn on writing manufacturer specific data to the USITT ASCII file, as allowed by the standard.  This includes data relating to moving light profiles, etc..  XLCue can not read this data.  The Express Off-Line Editor will also not read this data even after writing it.

Exporting a USITT ASCII File:

Select the menu option "Convert->Write ASCII..." and select a location to save the resulting file.

Importing a USITT ASCII File:

Select the menu option "Convert-> Read ASCII..." and select a file to import.
